In Memory of Sachiko

OtherFriend and his mother adopted an Akita puppy a few months ago.  Recently OtherFriend's wife was playing with Sachiko in the backyard, and the dog threw her hip out.  Shortly after that, the opposite knee went out.  OtherFriend's mom spared no expense to take Sachiko to the best veterinary orthopedic surgeon she could find locally.

Unfortunately, Sachiko never healed properly from the second surgery.  After a month, she still couldn't walk and was clearly in obvious pain, so OtherFriend and his mother made the difficult decision to euthanize her.

Rest well, my beautiful canine friend.  You will be missed
